Neo Tokyo: Being Human

Neo-Tokyo, 3080 CE

Satoshi Nakamura is a senior robotics researcher in Neo Tokyo, living alone in his apartment, which also runs his personal lab. He has been working on his masterpiece, an android girl, Akiko, with an AI processor that almost makes her human, and maybe even better. Spending his entire professional and personal life without a family, he considers her as his only child.

Akiko is born. Her father wants her to be the bridge between humans and robots, offering the best of both worlds, carrying hopes for a better tomorrow.

But the government and Bushido Ops, a private military organization have their eyes on her. They want to use her unique capabilities for their own political and economic goals. The government seizes the girl, takes control and puts her into rigorous military training, turning her into as 'asset' for the country. Nakamura is compensated, but he is crestfallen. Watching her slaughter expendable soldiers mercilessly, he struggles to accept her fate. He promises to break her out of the facility.

Before he can do that, Bushido Ops carries out an ambush at the secret government facility in order to steal the 'asset'. A bloody fight ensues. Nakamura learns of it and rushes to save Akiko.

He reaches to see an absolute carnage, dead bodies and destruction everywhere. And finds his daughter turned into a machine, a killing monster, with a child in her arms, one of the assets/experiments of that facility...on the verge of killing him as well. The father tries to stop her, to bring her back to senses. Reinforcements from Bushido Ops also have arrived at the same time for the final attack....

...A rush of intense fight occurs, in a flash. When the dust settles down, we see Akiko, sitting, with the dead body of her father on her lap. She spares the child, but ends up killing her own father. Tears come down from her face.

She regains her humanity, but at what cost?
