Professor Shonku and The Mystery of the Desert: Part 2

As the sand storm came to a stop and the skies cleared, under the vast moonlit Sahara, Shonku and Sommerville saw the most alien sight, that would haunt them for the rest of their lives.
The pyramid-like structure they had seen the day before, was now completely uncovered, and there were two large caves at one end, and it almost looked like, a nose? And it sloped down to what seemed like bushes and a mound like structure on both sides...only that, they were not. Those were human eyes, now closed. And this human face seemed so familiar, like a photo they had seen in a drawing room in Greece...
'Demetrius'...
Sommerville was standing still like a statue, transfixed, looking at the gigantic head, his ghostly whisper drifting along with the shifting sands.
Hector Demetrius had found an ancient text that spoke of a potion that gave god-like stature to any human. And he had experimented on his pet cat first, which started growing to almost a panther-like size and he had to kill it. But like any true scientist, he wanted to see the true extent of the transformation. So, he made himself the subject, and had to travel to the remote parts of the Sahara desert, he needed a vast, open, uninhabited place to grow. And he did, a growth so gargantuan, that it eventually slowed down his metabolism, and all he could do was lie down on the desert and wait for his death, which would come before he turned 65, as foretold by the fortune teller at Crete.
It was his birthday, 19th January, just past midnight.
Demetrius breathed his last a few minutes ago.

I wanted to do 4 frames for this story, but, too much client work pressure and life is kind of making it too difficult. This was incidentally the first one I had worked on, so, going to share it. Will probably attempt single keyframes from different stories of Shonku from now. So much to do, so little time!
Hope you like this one.
